Nagaland observes natl panchayati Raj day

Kohima: Nagaland director of the rural development (rd) department metsubo jamir has said at present nagaland has 1234 village development boards (vdbs) and since the state is not under 73rd amendment, the state was “literally given a free hand on our developmental aspect.”
Addressing a gathering at the observation of “national panchayati raj day” organised by department of rd on monday, jamir said, “our vdbs are very powerful institutions and very good development tool that our state has integrated.” (Uni)
