BETUL, (MP) A local court today issued an interim directive to a man ? who abandoned his 60-year-old wife and married another woman for dowry ? to bring her home with full dignity and provide her maintenance. According to prosecution, Pushpa Rajorkar (60) married Bhepatrao in 1979. Her in-laws were demanding a motorcycle and Rs 1-lakh in dowry since a long time. When she declined, her husband sent her away and married another woman. Since then, she was staying in a hut near her husband’s house. While hearing the matter yesterday, Judicial Magistrate Shashikant Verma said that the resolution could take time. Therefore, it would be justified to provide interim relief to the applicant and issued the directives. UNI
