NGT directive on Myntdu river

JOWAI: The Chief Executive Officer, Jowai Municipal Board has informed the general public that the National Green Tribunal Eastern Zone Bench Kolkata has directed to stop all activities like washing of car, discharge of effluent and others into Myntdu river.  It has also banned operation of all car washing centres located on both sides of the Myntdu river and has decided to put a stop to all construction works in and around Myntdu River Basin.
