BSNL row: Executives to go on mass leave today

SHILLONG: The BSNL executives in Shillong will go on a mass casual leave on Friday following the failure of their negotiation with the Additional Secretary, Department of Telecom.
Sanchar Nigam Executive Association (SNEA) secretary Sushil Tripathi said that the during the meeting with the Additional Secretary, the leaders of the association registered strong protest against the degradation of pay scale of JTO/JAO, SDE/AO and non-finalisation of BSNL promotion policy till DE level since last four years.
“If necessary the executives will intensify the agitation,” he said.
