Agartala: Tripura BJP state president Biplab Kumar Deb on Tuesday promised a central package of Rs 30 crores for basic development of Tripura besides opening up of massive job opportunities for the youths and implementation of 7th central pay commission recommendation for the state government employees if BJP comes to power in next assembly election scheduled in early next year.
Talking to media here, Deb said, the party has been working on the poll promises to be made public for the development of the state well ahead of the election with the approval of the party Chief and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He said more than 500 dedicated BJP volunteers have been recruited across 60 assembly constituencies to work for building up organisation at grass-root level and also to get details of the people’s aspiration and sufferings.
“BJP is ready to end up the sufferings of Tripura, which the people have been facing for past three decades due to impractical approach and unplanned expenditure of cores of core rupees given by the central government. Had the state governments spent the money came from the Centre properly, Tripura people at least today not fight for a BPL card or Rs 200-400 social security pension,” Mr Deb observed.
He alleged that more than 70 percent central fund was straight way looted out by the party cadres and corrupt administrators in past 30 years in the state and as a result, the pace of development in Tripura has reduced to almost zero and that was coupled with corrupt and inefficient governance of the left front government led by Manik Sarkar.
‘We will change the face of Tripura from a permanently backward state to one of the most developed states of the country. Because of faulty policy and mean minded attitude towards investors and industries the state could not generate employment opportunity despite having vast potential,” he stated.
The state BJP president however, pointed out that leftist in their traditional manner has started slandering BJP and other opposition parties for unnecessary reason to break down religious amity among different communities.
They also have resorted attacks on the opposition supporters, which would not tolerate the party.
During the visit of BJP national president in the week end to the state, the party would finalise the poll strategy to unseat the left front government, Mr Deb said adding that the election activities of the party has already begun and soon it would be reflected across the state. (UNI)
