No-plastic zone initiative

SHILLONG: To sensitise people about the ill effects of plastic bags on the environment, a social organisation called G9 Adventure, which specializes in cave adventure, made an attempt to turn several villages in the State into plastic-free zones.
In this regard, G9 Adventure, which is based in Nongnah, South West Khasi Hills, collected plastic bags (Contd on P-10)

(Contd from P-3) from Thangrai, Nongkdait, Nongkdait-Nongtwah, Mawendeng, Nongktieh, Nongbah and Domsohkhai villages.
The G9 Adventure has urged people to maintain cleanliness and to do away with plastic bags to preserve the environment.
