SHILLONG: The education scam case will come up for final hearing on May 22. The matter was heard on Friday.
Earlier in the last hearing on April 27, the Advocate General appearing for the State had submitted that he would file a synopsis on the status of the case related to respective parties and persons besides records containing relevant pleadings, documents, reports and orders for facilitating proper hearing of the matters.
During the hearing of the matter on Friday, counsel K Paul submitted that the compilations to be filed in the case are almost ready and will be filed during the course of the day.
The Advocate General and the counsels appearing for the respective parties agreed that the copies of reports (CBI and High Level Scrutiny Committee among others) available with the Advocate General may be inspected by the counsels appearing in the matters for the respective parties as per the convenience of the office of the Advocate General.
Hence, the Court fixed the final hearing on the matter for May 22.
