H.S. Thangkhiew, senior counsel assisted by Philemon Nongbri, counsel for the prosecution were also present in the Court.
It was on July 30, 2012 that Champion was arrested from an area under Pynursla in Indo-Bangladesh border.
Legal notice to police
Meanwhile, Dey said that as per the request of his client, he may send a legal notice to the assistant Inspector General of Police G. K Iangrai for providing a ‘vague’ list of cases pending against Champion.
Earlier, the Supreme Court had asked the concerned authorities to provide the list of cases against Champion.
“The list provided by the official is not clear, hence we may issue a legal notice to him,” Dey said.
