MAWKYRWAT: The KSU’s South West Khasi Hills and Langkynma area units will hold a public rally on May 12 at Nongjri village to protest against the rise in crimes like abduction and extortion. The protest comes in the wake of the recent abduction of a labourer at Nongjri in South West Khasi Hills by suspected Bangladeshi miscreants.
The rally will demand the unconditional release of Dajied Syiemlieh of Umsur village, who was abducted on April 2. The rally will start from the office of the KSU at Nonghyllam village at 11am and proceed to Nongjri.
