Khasi Cultural Society supports education of minor rape victim

SHILLONG: The Khasi Cultural & Social Service Society (KCSSS) has supported the surviving daughter of late Darisda Rapthap and late Synsharlang Dewkhaid, who died due to mushroom poisoning last year by supporting her education for the whole year. The girl is five years old and hails from East Khasi Hills.
Banshai Marbaniang, Chairman and Programme Coordinator of KCSSS extended support to the toddler and in a press statement alleged that she was raped by her neighbor.
The family of the girl which included the elder daughter expressed gratitude to the KCSSS.
