Bru tribesmen trained by NSDC get job offers

Agartala: Sixty people of backward Bru tribe of Tripura, who were trained by National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) on Wednesday got placement in different companies, officials said. Industries and Commerce Department (Skill Development) distributed offer letters to the first batch of 60 trainees of Bru tribe at a placement ceremony here to the candidates trained under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY).
M Nagaraju, Principal Secretary, Industries and Commerce Department (Skill Development) distributed the offer letters. The project aims to train a total of 300 candidates of which 120 are currently being trained, whereas 60 candidates have already completed their training, Nagaraju told reporters. (PTI)
mobilise Bru tribe people from Tripura to other parts of country and help them earn a better livelihood, Kumar added. (PTI)
