Choir Competition
As part of its Golden Jubilee celebration, Seven Set School will be organising an Inter School Choir Competition on May 12 at 10 am on the school premises.

Workshop
Gitanjali Dance Academy, Bishnupur is organising a contemporary Mayurbhanj Chhau workshop under the guidance of Sudhir Kumar, a senior student of Santosh Nair of Sadhya-a unit of performing arts. The workshop will be held from May 14-18.

Seminar
The Department of Philosophy, Lady Keane College is organising a three-day National Seminar on the theme ’Conflict Transformation and Dharma of Peace Building: Contemporary Relevance in North East India’ from May 16 to 18. The inaugural function will be held on May 16 at 10 am. Prof. Mrinal Miri, former Member of Rajya Sabha and former Vice – Chancellor, NEHU, Shillong will be the chief guest on the occasion.

 Election contact centre
For the purpose of providing seamless interface to provide quality service to citizens and other stakeholders on election matters, the Sub Divisional Contact Centre (SDCC) has been established at the office of the Sub Divisional Officer (Election), Sohra Civil Sub Division.

Debate competition
Laban Bengalee Boys’ Higher Secondary School will organise the 14th Inter School Debate Competition on May 12 at 11 am on the school premises.

Art exhibition
An exhibition titled Monolith Memories, which will showcase artwork by international artistes and students from Sohra, during the one-month International Art Residency Programme held at Sohra. The exhibition will be inaugurated by Kazi Muntashir Murshed, Assistant High Commissioner of Bangladesh, at Asian Confluence on May 13 at 2pm.
