Prominent physician passes away

SHILLONG: Renowned physician Dr N.K Nath passed away in Kolkata on Friday evening. He was 86. Nath, who served in various capacities under the Meghalaya State Medical Service and was the Assistant Civil Surgeon of Shillong Civil Hospital, was survived by his wife and two sons.
The family members were present by his side when he died at 5pm on Friday. Nath founded Brightwell Clinic and Nursing Home in Shillong and was associated with various other institutions.
He belonged to that vanishing community of doctors who would be present at the bedside of patients even at the dead of night.
