SHILLONG: A para-legal volunteer, Rashidur Rahman has petitioned the Director, School Education and Literacy alleging that the principal cum secretary of the Garodubi Higher Secondary School is indulging in grave anomalies and mismanagement. Quoting an RTI reply, Rahman said that the principal cum secretary of the school, I.H Chaudhury appears to be part of both secondary as well as higher secondary section of the school.
“He is also shown to have withdrawn the salary from both the sections in the capacity of principal in secondary section and assistant lecturer in the higher secondary section,” he said.
Rahman also alleged that the principal has made some appointments in the name of fictitious persons whose names never existed in the school teacher attendance register even though the monthly salary for such teachers is being withdrawn.
The para-legal volunteer has asked the department to institute a departmental inquiry into the matter.
