Showcause notice likely

SHILLONG: MPCC president D.D Lapang said on Wednesday he is waiting for the report of the District Congress Committee on Cabinet Minister Sniawbhalang Dhar’s alleged anti-party activities.
Dhar will be sent a showcause notice as per the procedure of the party and necessary action will be taken after due consultation, said the veteran leader.
Speaking to media persons here on Wednesday, Lapang said he has received the complaint letter from the Jowai block unit.
According to the State party chief, he has not gone through the letter even as he admitted that the block should have had sent the letter through the party’s district unit.
