Drop Kropha, demands state BJP

SHILLONG: BJP state president Shibun Lyngdoh has demanded that Chief Secretary K.S Kropha be dropped following his conviction by a CBI court in a coal block allocation case.
Speaking to reporters on Monday, he said, “We demand that he be dropped. On the future course of action, we will refer the matter to the legal cell (of the party).”
Kropha was the joint secretary in the Coal ministry under the UPA regime.
Kropha has said he would appeal against the order in the Delhi High Court. He has gone on leave for two weeks and Additional Chief Secretary Y. Tsering has been given the charge during the period.
