SHIILONG: The results of the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) Arts were better than that of the secondary examinations whose results were announced on Tuesday.
Both results were announced on the same day.
St Anthony’s Higher Secondary School topped the Arts chart followed by Synod College and St Edmund’s Higher Secondary School in the second and third positions, respectively.
The pass percentage in the HSSLC was 75.38 as compared with SSLC’s 54.04.
Altogether 15,940 students of the 21,146 passed the HSSLC Arts.
When contacted, Arts topper Dimsonjem Vaiphei said, “I feel extremely happy.”
On her future plans, she said she plans to pursue a major in Political Science and wants to become an IAS officer.
The second rank holder from Synod College, Ricarldy Dkhar, said it is the quality of study that matters and not quantity. “I study for one to one-and-a-half hours in the morning and three hours in the evening with a lot of concentration,” he added. The remaining time, he assists his father in his usual tasks and attends computer classes. Ricarldy expressed his gratitude to his parents, teachers and God for his feat.
