SHILLONG: Senior Congress leader Rowell Lyngdoh said that neither he nor other party functionaries were consulted before appointing Mansturdy Nongkrem as the president of South West Khasi Hills by MPCC president DD Lapang.
“It was in November last that the new district president was appointed without any discussion and nobody knew about it,” Lyngdoh, who represents Mawkyrwat constituency, said. Lyngdoh, however, said that despite this, he and his supporters continue to attend the party meetings.
The senior leader said he came to know that Nongkrem had made a lot of complaints against him to the MPCC.
Lyngdoh added that the Block congress wanted him to contest the 2018 polls from the party.
