Conrad asks depts to work in tandem in review meet

Tura: Tura MP Conrad Sangma on Thursday reviewed various central schemes under the Rural Development and other ministries being implemented in West Garo Hills.
Sangma, who is the chairman of the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee, said monitoring of schemes is necessary for effective implementation.
The MP urged all departments to work together and explore ways to enhance accountability and delivery mechanism at all levels.
The meeting was held at Rongram C&RD Block.
The line departments made a power point presentation of various schemes. The public put forward grievances and queries during a hearing.
The schemes which were reviewed include MGNREGS, Indira Awas Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana and PM Krishi Sinchai Yojana (PMKSY), among others.
Former Rajya Sabha MP Thomas A. Sangma, DC Pravin Bakshi and senior district officials were present at the meeting.
Review of MPLADS, Mission Skill India and other central schemes was held on Wednesday. The meeting was chaired by Sangma and attended by officials from all Garo Hills district.
