SPL: Lajong Juniors beat Wahingdoh 3-1

SHILLONG: Shillong Lajong Junior Reds defeated Wahingdoh FC by 3-1 in their opening game of the U-18 Shillong Premier League at Polo Ground on Friday.
Samuel Kynshi headed the ball into the back of the net in the 28th minute after an assist from Phrangki Buam to give Lajong a 1-0 lead. Habamut then doubled the lead for the Junior Reds in the 40th minute and were leading 2-0 at half time.
Wahingdoh FC managed to pull one back when the referee awarded them a penalty after a foul was committed inside the box. Onyxon Buhroy scored from the spot in the 57th minute.
Lajong scored another goal in the 74th minute. Donbok scored from inside the box to find the bottom right corner of the net.
Shillong Lajong will play their next match against Malki on Monday at 4 pm.
On Saturday, Malki SC will face Langsning FC at the Third Ground, Polo at 4 pm. Rilang Mylliempdah, Secretary of Malki FC said the team was prepared for the difficult challenge.
