Bus timings
Starting June 19 the Meghalaya Transport Corporation’s night bus from Shillong to Tura will depart 5pm instead of 4pm. The departure time for Tura will remain unchanged.
Cleaning drive
As part of the Swachh Bharat Campaign, the Shillong Cantonment Board organised a cleanliness drive on Thursday in the surrounding area of Luckier Road.
Prohibitory order
The District Magistrate, Ri Bhoi on Thursday passed a prohibitory order under Section 144 CrPC in the entire district prohibiting any industries or persons etc., indulging in or resorting to the act of poisoning of rivers, streams or any other water bodies with the intention to cause widespread destruction of aquatic life.
