National Seminar held in Jowai

JOWAI: The English Department of the Kiang Nangbah Government College, Jowai in West Jaintia Hills, organised a Natioal Seminar on the theme ‘Exploring the Theory and Praxis of Cultural Poetics’ at the College Auditorium on Friday.
 The seminar was attended by students, invitees and also lecturers, there were 9 speakers or resource persons presenting their papers in various subjects directly or indirectly related to the theme.
 Head of Department, Cultural and Creative Studies, NEHU, Desmond Kharmawphlang, presented his key address and his focus is on dreams that occurred not only while sleeping but also while walking and sitting.
 Registrar William Carey University, Shillong, Dr. B.W. Nongbri, Dr. Roplyneda Lyngdoh, Guest Lecturer, Department of Cultural and Creative Studies, NEHU was the main speakers beside DC, DM Wahlang was present as the chief guest.
