Bodies of minor girls recovered from pond in Garo Hills

SHILLONG: Police on Thursday recovered the bodies of two minor girls from a pond in Phulbari, West Garo Hills.
According to police, on the evening of June 8, bodies of the girls Azuda Banu (6) and Sophia Khatun (10) both of Shiyalkandi village under Phulbari PS were recovered from a pond at the same village. It is suspected that they have been drowned.
Police said that they were neighbours and as of now, there is no foul play into the incident.
