Fire at UP Commercial Taxes Building in Lucknow

Lucknow, Jun 14 (UNI) A major fire broke out at the fifth floor of the Uttar Pradesh Commercial Taxes Building on Meera Bai Marg in the busy Hazratganj area of the state capital today. Officials said several fire tenders were rushed to control the situation. The fire was brought under control in 30 minutes. There was no injury as the office was yet to open for the day and the employees had just started coming in when the fire was noticed. However, several important documents were razed to ashes. Officials have ordered a probe into the matter but sources said that the short-circuit could be the reason behind the fire. UNI
