Locals assault 3 for suspicious behaviour

SHILLONG: Three persons including a woman were detained by the residents of Chigitchatgre in South West Garo Hills.
The incident happened on Sunday around 8.30 pm, when the locals intercepted three persons, Ripon Ahmed (22), Alom Miah (25) and Nininda Ch Marak, while they were roaming around the village in a tempo. The villagers got suspicious and intervened them.
However, Nininda Ch Marak managed to escape. Later, Police took custody of the two persons and sent them to CH Ampati for medical examination.
