SHILLONG: The Resident Commissioner, Chief Counsellor of Meghalaya House in New Delhi has informed that 14 candidates designated as Civil Services Fellows from Meghalaya has been sponsored for coaching for IAS / Civil Service Examination for 9 months from September last, at reputed coaching centres in New Delhi.
The candidates selected to undergo coaching are among the top candidates in the Aptitude Assessment Test (AAT), which was held on September 10, 2016, at three Centres in Shillong, Tura and Delhi, and the interview was conducted by the Deputy Commissioners.
The ‘Civil Services Fellows’ were given a package in the form of financial assistance towards the entire coaching fee for Prelims and Mains along with a fixed monthly stipend for accommodation and logistic supports.
The candidates after the prelims examination will also be attached with DCs and BDOs of their respective districts to learn various developmental programmes of Government with a special focus on getting insights into various strategies/models implemented over a period of time. This will help them to be ‘application oriented’ while sitting for the IAS exam and will keep them distinct among those who are appearing for the same.
