Building encroaching govt land demolished in Mandapam

Rameswaram(TN), Jun 19(PTI) A three-storey residential building of a former government official allegedly built encroaching on government land at nearby Mandapam was demolished today following orders from the Madras High Court. The building, constructed by T Raja, Former Deputy Director of Survey Department, was brought down using earth movers. The demolition work was overseen by a team of revenue officials accompanied by police. PTI
