SHILLONG: Several old currency notes of Rs 500 were abandoned in a plastic bag near Manipuri Mandir on Bomfyle Road in Laitumkhrah on Sunday evening.
The cash worth Rs 5.5 lakh was found by a resident around 7.30 pm. It was later handed over to police in Laitumkhrah.
