Arson attack damages house at Nongmynsong

SHILLONG: With the opposition to railway continuing, arsonists targeted a house at Nongmynsong area on Sunday.
The house belonging to Francis Dkhar at Langkyrding, Nongmynsong was partially damaged when miscreants hurled a petrol bomb in the early hours on Sunday.
Police are investigating whether any protestors were involved in the crime.
Different parts of Shillong have witnessed arson cases since last month and several protestors have been arrested for their involvement in such cases.
Police have till date registered over 12 cases of arson in East Khasi Hills and arrested 16 KSU activists.
Though government and private properties were damaged by the miscreants, no case of injury or casualty was reported.
