SHILLONG: The wife of HSPDP MDC Blandingstar Warjri has confirmed to the police that her husband is not missing.
A police team visited the KHADC office on Thursday to look for the ‘missing’ MDC and also visited his residence.
“His wife told us that he is not missing and that he had told her that his mobile phone will be switched off for a few days”, police said.
The HSPDP MDC was reported to be missing since June 19 evening and he did not attend the Council session that started on Tuesday.
HSPDP had filed a missing report and party leaders K.P Pangniang and D. Jyndiang had visited the KHADC office to search for the MDC.
There were allegations that Warjri was ‘kidnapped’ before the beginning of the KHADC session.
