SHILLONG: The Meghalaya SSA Schools’ Association (MSSASA) has threatened an agitation and also to write to the State Government on the ‘harassment’ of National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) for delay in announcement of results.
In a statement issued to the press, Aristotle C. Rymbai, president of the Association, criticised the delay in results announcement of the Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EL.ED) for the Meghalaya teachers’ final year batch 2015,which was held in December last year.
He said that the lackadaisical attitude of the NIOS will hamper the future of Adhoc teachers, deficit and Government institutions.
The State Government has signed an agreement with the NIOS in 2013 to train 7822 teachers in the elementary level comprising of SSA, Adhoc, deficit and Government schools in which 4385 were registered in the 1st batch (2013) and 3437 were registered in 2nd batch (2014).
