MLCU gets new registrar

SHILLONG: Donald D Ingty, the Registrar of Martin Luther Christian University handed over his office and all its responsibilities to the new Registrar Dr Larilin Kharpuri, in a short ceremony held in the office on Friday, in the presence of RG Lyngdoh, the Vice Chancellor, M. Albert Nongrum, Director Human Resources and the staff of the Registrar Office.
Kharpuri, held the office of the Deputy Registrar of MLCU from June 2012 till date. She also has the distinct honour of being the first employee
appointed by the University. She started as office staff and then joined the teaching faculty in the Department of Management and Commerce Studies on August 2006. She was a part of many externally funded projects that the University undertook.
Speaking about Kharpuri, Ingty stated that she is one of the most sincere and hardworking employees. “I wish her the very best in her new responsibility as the Registrar and I also believe that she is the right person for this post and would definitely perform a remarkable task.”
