SHILLONG: The Directorate of Field Publicity, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Tura and Williamnagar units jointly organised a Special Outreach Programme on Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas (Collective Efforts, Inclusive Growth) at Multi Facility Building, Asanang in West Garo Hills on June 30.
The main objectives of carrying out the programme was to create awareness and sensitise people on Beti Bacchao, Beti Padhao, Mission Indradhanush, Swaacch Bharat Abhiyan, Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana and other Central Government Schemes.
The campaign was carried out in close co-ordination with the Health and Family Welfare Department, District Child Development Project Officer (Urban) Tura, DDK Tura, AIR Tura, Health workers, Anganwadi, ASHA, SBI, Education Department, NGOs and Village Authorities.
