NHM-Red FM 93.5 campaign against drug abuse

SHILLONG:  National Health Mission (NHM) in collaboration with Superhits Red FM 93.5 organized a road show to create awareness against drug abuse and illicit-trafficking wherein  the people were it informed that more than 2, 50,000 people die from drugs abuse ever year in the world

The road show started from Mawlai Petrol Pump. Using loudspeakers they attracted people with catchy phrases,  “Don’t fall for drug abuse”, “Shoot for the stars not your arms”,  “Give hugs not drugs.”

Halting at Mawlai Mawdakbaki, a counsellor, Phida  urged the people to come forward and visit the centers at Civil hospital, Shillong and Ganesh Das Hospital , Lawmali if they need help.

The road show  was meant for sensitizing  people against  drugs abuse in and around Mawlong and it  culminated at Nongmynsong.
