CBI files charge-sheet against NEHU professor, researchers

SHILLONG: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Tuesday filed a charge-sheet before the CBI Special Judge in Shillong against a professor and three researchers of North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU) for allegedly misappropriating central funds.
Professor S.K Jha has been charge-sheeted for misusing funds of the project of the Regional Centre, National Afforestation and Eco-Development Board, Ministry of Environment and Forests.
The names of the three researchers were not available as both the state police and the CBI remained tightlipped on the matter.
