Voters’ enrolment
The District Election Officer, East Khasi Hills has informed that the special drive for enrolment of left-out voters, correction of entries, shifting and deletion of absent/shifted and dead voters will be held from July 8-31 in all the respective polling stations with special campaign from July 8-22.

Illicit liquor
In its continued drive against illicit liquor, the Excise staff of East Khasi Hills conducted raids in restaurants and stalls in the town and its outskirts seizing 92.350 litres of i/d liquor and 8.690 litres of IMFL in the month of May. 19 persons have also been arrested under Excise Act.

Meeting
Ieng Rasong Sports, Social and Cultural club will hold its general council meeting on July 17 at Shillong Club residential quarter at 3 pm.

St. Anthony’s College will organise its graduation day programme on July 8 at the college auditorium.

The CSR committee of Shillong Expressway Ltd, the concessionaire of Shillong Bypass conducted a tree plantation drive at Mawkhanu, East Khasi Hills on July 5.
