Neil Sootinck elected general secretary of NRAI

SHILLONG: The general election of executive members and office bearers to the central governing body of the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) was conducted in the Punjab Cricket Stadium, Mohali, Chandigarh on Saturday.

Raninder Singh was re-elected as the President of the NRAI, Central Governing Body, and Neil Sootinck, General Secretary, Shooting Association of Meghalaya (SAM) was also elected as a member of the Central Governing Body, NRAI (2017-2021).

The Shooting Association of Meghalaya (SAM) was represented by its President John. F. Kharshiing, General Secretary Neil Sootinck and Secretary Jeffery. W. Sooting.

Members of all shooting Associations affiliated to NRAI from across the country and other North East States took part in the electioneering process.

In its endeavor to promote target shooting sport in the region, SAM would also conduct the 5th North East Zone Shooting Championship 2017 commencing on July 15 at the shooting range of the Assam Regimental Centre, Happy valley, Shillong.
