5 minors knocked down in EKH, 1 killed

SHILLONG: Five children were injured while one succumbed to her injuries, when a vehicle knocked them down at Mawlyneng village, Mawmih in East Khasi Hills.
The accident took place on Saturday afternoon around 12 pm, when one Bolero pick-up (ML-05J-6191), knocked down six minors causing injuries to them. As a result, one of the injured children, Baaijingkmen Kharkrang (12) succumbed to her injuries, while the other five were shifted to NEIGRIHMS.
The driver fled away after the incident butlLater, he surrendered.
