Shillong : Commuters wait for transport at the Laban taxi stand at Police Bazar as vehicles refuse to take passengers. It is a daily ordeal for passengers because taxis often refuse to go citing traffic snarl as the reason. Despite a police stand nearby, no action is taken against errant drivers on Friday.
