Body recovered
A body was found from Mawlyndep football ground in East Khasi Hills on Wednesday. The deceased identified as Bhaboklang Kharmalki (16), who was suffering from epileptic, reportedly missing from his residence since July 11, police said. Necessary formalities have been observed and the matter is under enquiry.

Plea to claimbaby
A three-month-old infant was abandoned at Langkyrding, Nongmensong. Police said that a woman working as a maid in the house of Diona Nongkli has abandoned her baby and fled. The child was later handed over to Child Protection Officer, East Khasi Hills.

Heroin seized
On July 13, police arrested Lilson Sukhlain (33) from Mawbah, Shillong and recovered 0.18 grams of suspected heroin from his possession.

Horticulture farm in SWKH
Prairies Shangdiar, Inspector of Horticulture, Photkylla Farm, South West Khasi Hills lodged a complaint that unknown persons entered the Horticulture Farm, Photkylla and cut down twenty-three numbers of ‘mother plant’ and six numbers of ‘mother plant’ including Valencia, budded orange and budded mosambi were found in the ground.
