Bengal youth drowns in Umiam

SHILLONG: A tourist from West Bengal was drowned in Lumpongdeng, Umiam on July 14.
The incident happened, when few tourists went into the lake and one of them was drowned.
The deceased is identified as Sumit Gupta (22) of Pilkhana, Howrah. The body of Sumit has been recovered and necessary formalities have been observed. The matter is under inquiry.
