SHILLONG: A woman died in West Jaintia Hills after jumping out from a running vehicle.
It was on July 14 afternoon, when the woman jumped off a running Maruti van (ML-04C-4259) at Mukhla, Thadlaskein.
As a result, she sustained injuries and was shifted to CHC Ummulong and later referred to CH Ialong, where the attending MO declared her brought dead.
Man found hanging
In another incident, on July 13, Army Suchiang was found hanging in his residence at Thadmuthlong village in West Jaintia Hills.
Necessary formalities have been observed and the matter is under enquiry.
