Youth murdered in GH, cops suspect friend

TURA: A young man from Haripur village in West Garo Hills was found murdered with police on the lookout for the victim’s friend who was last seen with the deceased.
The accused has gone missing since the murder on Friday.
The victim, Oshidur Rahman (25), left home with a friend identified as Rafiqul Islam of the same village around 7 pm.
He was last seen that evening.
Rahman’s mutilated body recovered on Saturday in a boat next to a pond in the village.
A case of murder has been lodged by police and a lookout notice issued on the victim’s friend Rafiqul Islam (30) who is absconding.
Local sources, however, were unable to state whether there was any form of personal enmity between the victim and the suspect.
The prime suspect in the case, Rafiqul Islam (30) however has been absconding since the murder with police currently on the lookout for him.
