9-year-old drowns in NGH

RESUBELPARA: A boy identified as Sumon Sangma (9) drowned in the Dudnoi river (Manda river) on Sunday afternoon.
The boy’s father Laban Marak of Nogorpara village, under Dainadubi outpost in Mendipathar, lodged an FIR after coming to know of the incident.
The body of the boy, who was a class III student of the lower primary school in the same village, is yet to be recovered.
A rescue team is carrying out search operations with assistance from security personnel from Damra army camp and Dudhnoi police station in Goalpara, Assam.
