Diamond jubilee
Nongthymmai Nepali Higher Secondary School organised an alumni meet on Saturday as part of its diamond jubilee celebrations. A large number of past pupils attended the meet. Former Principal and secretary of the school D P Joshi also attended the day long programme. On the occasion a book titled “Mero Yatra Desh Pardesh” authored by Joshi was released.
Office bearers
The Shillong Socio Cultural Assamese Students’ Association in its annual general meeting held at Asom Krishti Kendra on July 16 elected new office bearers for the year 2017 with Pretty Saikia as the president, Imran Chowdhury and Suman Dutta as the vice-presidents and Surojit Hazarika as the general secretary along with other new members.
