Golden jubilee
H.L. Mizo Secondary School will celebrate its Golden Jubilee on July 21 at U Soso Tham Auditorium from 11 am onwards.

Felicitation
Federation of All Meghalaya Adhoc Secondary Teachers’ Association will organise a felicitation programme on July 20 at the Khasi National Dorbar Hall at Mawkhar at 11 am, for the top 20 students of the last SSLC exams conducted by MBoSE. Deborah Marak will be the chief guest.

Exhibition
The office of the General Manager, District Commerce & Industries Center, Ri-Bhoi District, Nongpoh is organising a two-day district level Industrial Exhibition on July 27 and 28 at the office campus, Nongpoh.

IGNOU
IGNOU announces that the last date for submission of forms for Certificate Programmes, online is extended to July 31. For Entrance Tests for B.ED, MBA & B.Sc(N) programmes is extended to August 8 and the tests will be held on September 24. 

Cleaning drive
The residents and traditional heads of Mukhla Shohshrieh under the jurisdiction of Thadlaskein village, West Jaintia Hills conducted a cleaning drive of the village. The village heads have issued a warning to maintain cleanliness and not to throw garage indiscriminately in the street.

Writing competition
FKJGP Mawnianglah Unit organised an extempore speech and slogan writing competition on the occasion of 182nd death anniversary of U Tirot Sing Syiem on Monday at Mawnianglah, Upper Shillong.

Preventive Measures 
In view of the reported rise of vector borne diseases like malaria and dengue in the town, the Chief Executive Officer of Tura Municipal Board, West Garo Hills District, has directed all garage and motor workshop owners to remove all unused tyres from the vicinity of their workplaces.
