4 ultras of new outfit held with arms

GUWAHATI: Four militants belonging to a newly-formed outfit were arrested along with weapons were during a joint operation conducted by the Army and Assam Police at Goreswar in Baksa district of Assam on Thursday

Police informed that the arrested militant belonged to United Independent Army of Assam (UIAA). They were identified as self-styled chairman of the outfit Mintu Sinha, self-styled commander Hitesh Bezbaruah and cadres Hitesh Kalita and Munindra Patowary.

The forces recovered a 9 mm pistol, two rounds of ammunition, extortion notices and two motorbikes from the arrested militants.
