A local taxi (number not known) on July 21, knocked down one minor girl Gavorisha Thangkhiew (3) at Nongumlong, Umlyngka. In the incident, the victim sustained injuries and was admitted at Woodland Hospital.
On the same afternoon, an accident took place between one Tata Sumo (ML-08C-4311) driven by Ajijur Rahman and one motorcycle (A/F) ridden by Challak Marak at Doromchas in South West Garo Hills.
The motorcycle rider and one female pillion rider sustained injuries and were shifted to CHC Mahendraganj.
Police detained the driver of the Tata Sumo and the matter is under enquiry.
On July 21 night, one scooty (ML-05M-7023) ridden by Bankerlang Kharpuri (27) skidded at Dhankheti. As a result, the rider and one pillion rider sustained injuries and were admitted at Civil Hospital Shillong.
