Kidnapped man from SWKH rescued by BGB

SHILLONG: The kidnapped 34-year-old man from a village in South West Khasi Hills was rescued by the Border Guards Bangladesh on Friday.
Marwein, who was kidnapped from Umsur Nongjri village on July 8, was handed over to the Border Security Force at Baghmara on Saturday.
A group of about seven armed men barged into his house on the night of July 8 and took him away. They also took around Rs 6,000 in cash and a two-wheeler.
South West Khasi Hills SP Abraham T Sangma said the miscreants left Marwein  near the Indo-Bangla border.
On April 27, 18-year-old Dajied Syiemlieh of Umthied village near Mairang in West Khasi Hills was abducted by a group of Bangladeshis from the same village. He was rescued by Bangladeshi police on May 15 from Kolchanda village under Sherpur district.
