Citizens forum urges Mukul to develop Rongjeng costituency

SHILLONG: The Rongjeng Area Citizens Forum has submitted a 14 -point memorandum to the Meghalaya Chief Minister Mukul Sangma demanding development in Rongjeng constituency of East Garo Hills.

In the petition shot off to the Chief Minister here on Sunday to Mukul Sangma, the Rongjeng   Area Citizens Forum asked the State Government to recognise the   Rongjeng Community Healh Centre(CHC) as the   full-fledged first referral unit besides asking the Government to upgrade the administrative   unit of Rongjeng into a full-fledged civil sub-division.

The Forum also demanded that the construction of   Rongjeng –Mangsang-Adokgre road   should be expedited   besides asking the government to speed up the setting up of the residential school in the constituency.

In addition, the Forum wants setting up of a new anti-dacoity camp and up gradation of   Rongmil Operation Group camp to anti-dacoity camp.
